Dell xps 13 9370 wifi not detected

Hi all,

WIFI worked fine up until today.

Problem: Comp isnt recognizing any networks. I only see airplane mode when i click the wifi button. Killer wifi adaptor shows in device manager under network adaptors when i press "show hidden".

When i used the windows troubleshoot tool, it said ethernet not enabled.

My phone is accessing wifi no problem

What ive tried so far:
- turned off bluetooth
- enabled WIFi (fn + f2)
- reset BIOS default
- network reset
- system restore
- network discovery turned on

Im going to try downloading different drivers tomorrow when i can borrow a computer.

Anyone have this issue?

It seems like the wireless card turns off by itself. Everytime it resets, it will work for a minute and turn off again.

Here is my BIOS settings when it turns off

I tried downloading and installing a new driver but and it successfully installed in the 2 mins my wifi worked, but then the card will shut off again and the network adaptor gets disabled.

Here is the error i get when i tried to install thr driver when it was turned off.

What other steps can i try?

Any dell reps out there? Id like to change the wireless card. Seems like this is a very common issue.

Hello, I am having the same issue with my xps13. It worked all day today. Took a break and went back on to finish my work and I no longer can access any wifi networks and when I hit the network settings it is not showing any available networks.

To troubleshoot this far I have:

- reset my router

- checked the network discovery settings

- updated network adapter drivers

- ran the network adapter troubleshooter

- confirmed services for internet connection were running

- reset the TCP/IP

All were unsuccessful. please advise!!

Follow these steps:

1) Type Control Panel in the search box on your desktop, and click Control Panel in the result.

2) Choose View by Small icons or View by Large icons, then click Network and Sharing Center.

3) Click Set up a new connection or network.

4) Choose Manually connect to a wireless network, then click Next.

5) Enter the required information and click Next.

6) Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the process.

Then restart your computer and connect to WiFi to see if it works.
