Dell Vostro 430
I was wondering if my Dell Vostro 430 Supports Wake-on-LAN (WOL) from shutdown. I've been looking everywhere for documentation on whether it supports it but am having no luck!

pol212,
The settings are located in the bios power management section. To enter the bios start the computer and TAP the F2 key,
Resume by LAN
Allows the system to wake up from an onboard LAN, PCIE-X1 LAN card, or a PCI LAN card.
Available settings are:
The default setting is Enabled.
Resume by PS2
Allows the system to wake up from an activity on the PS2 device such as Keyboard and Mouse.
Available settings are:
The default setting is Enabled.
Resume by RTC
If enabled, the two settings below are active and adjustable:
The default setting is Disabled.
Low Power Mode
When Low Power Mode is enabled, it allows the system to consume minimal amount of power (less than 1W) during it is turned OFF. This feature needs to be disabled when the system is required to Wake up on LAN.
Available settings are:
ACPI Suspend type
Sets the energy-saving mode of the ACPI function. It determines the Standby mode in the operating system.
Available settings are:
The default setting is S3 (STR).
AC Recovery
Determines what action the computer will take when power is restored.
Available settings are:
The default setting is Power Off.
Network
The Broadcom NetLink 57780TMGigabit Ethernet controller has a triple-speed IEEE 802.3 compliant Media Access Controller (MAC) with a triple-speed Ethernet transceiver, PCI Express bus controller, and embedded memory. It interfaces over four different physical layer standards through optical fiber (1000BASE-X), twisted pair cable (1000BASE-T), or balanced copper cable (1000BASE-CX).
