Dell Inspiron 15 (5558) Wireless connection issue after sleep or hibernate (Win7 pro)
Hello,
Just bought my new Dell Inspiron 15 (5558). There is an annoying issue with Wireless connection - after sleep or hibernate mode it doesn't reconnect wireless automatically:
1. I have the latest drivers (downloaded from dell support with service tag number);
2. Already Unchecked the box "allow Windows to turn off this device to save power" (in adapter, power management);
3. Other computers, tablets and smart phones work perfect with the same router.
So, I have tried almost everything (search dell community forum) - nothing helped. It is so annoying.
Please, any ideas or possible solutions?
Regards,
Tom

Hello, Mr. Todd,
thanks for your time and support. I have tried your suggestion/solution, read almost all topics with options in "wifi doesn't connect" and etc.. Nothing helped.
But.., after an hour work and different "algorithms", I think I found solution for my problem:
1. Device manager; Network adapters
2. In "Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport adapters (both)" Power manager unchecked box with "Allow the computer to turn off this device"
3. In "Intel(R) Dual band wireless" done opposite - in Power manager checked box with "Allow the computer to turn off this device"
4. It seams that this move helped to solve this issue. Now, after hibernating or sleep mode my wifi connects automatically.
Thank you

Hi Tom,
You're running Win7 Pro on that system? Did you purchase that with Win7 or is that from your own copy of Windows 7? If you're running Windows 7 on that system you may want to look into allowing Windows Wireless Z Configuration to run your network connection instead of the driver directly. (Or Intel ProSet if you have an Intel card). What wireless card do you have in the system and what driver is currently installed?
To better help me troubleshoot this issue please right click on my Dell Todd username and send me a private message with the Dell Service Tag of your system. Please keep all troubleshooting steps here on this thread so that others can see what we try to do to resolve.
Thank you,
Todd

Hi.
Fantastic! Glad you were able to figure it out and share it with the community. Hopefully others will see it and be able to get their wireless setup working when their systems come back from sleep.
Thanks again,
Todd
