Dell Download Support has few drivers for old Dimension 2400, loaded what was there but still have one unknown device
Hi, hard drive died on Dell dimension 2400, re-installed with existing win XP (with SP3). Used other computer to go on line to Dell support and downloaded what few drivers I could find for the Service Tag. (Broadcom Integrated NIC, Graphics Controller, Modem) Installed drivers and I still have an unknown device (yellow question mark for unknown sandwiched between Network Adapters and Ports). Wired Ethernet was working before hard drive failure - Properties for Broadcom 440x say 'device is working properly' but it won't pick up a DHCP IP. Manually set IP for the router network and can now ping local devices and even URLs like www.google.com but cannot get to internet with IE explorer.
Are there other software drivers that are located in Dell archive somewhere that I need to load to clear the unknown device?
Any idea what device might be lurking between 'Network adapters' and 'Ports (Com and LPT)? Appreciate any help. Thanks, Dave

Thank you very much. I didn't know you could search on the hardware IDs. I was able to locate the driver and fixed the old pc and returned it to the owner. She primarily uses it for email and she is quite happy with it.
