Dell Device and Peripheral Manager update broke Secure Link USB Receiver (WR3)
After updating the DDPM in my Precision 7530, the app pushed an update to the RF dongle for the KM900 keyboard and mouse combo that now makes it bricked. The DDMP does not recognize the dongle while Windows 11 Settings see it under Devices as Dell Secure Link Receiver. The whole purpose of the dongle for me it being able to switch computers (work Precision 7680, personal MacBook Pro and personal Precision 7530) without having to deal with the devices. This is the second time it has happened as the first time was 6 months ago and I just bought a new WR3 receiver. It is mind boggling that a software update from Dell would brick its own hardware without means of recovery. I have already updated the keyboard to the latest firmware 1.0.6.8 as supposedly that should make it recognize the receiver but I think that's another separate issue that I didn't experience.
