connection to a 5ghz band network

Hi conantbh,

I suggest you to uninstall the Wireless card drivers, restart the computer and reinstall it by following the below mentioned steps:

1. Type “Device Manager” in the search box and select it.
2. Expand the “Network Adapters”.
3. Right Click Wireless card listed and select Uninstall and ensure to check the box “Delete driver software for this device”.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation.
5. Restart the computer.
6. Visit the following website: http://dell.to/17F08dH
7. Enter the Service tag of the computer in the box provided and click “Submit”.
8. In the next page, click drop down arrow to select the Operating System which is installed in the computer.
9. Under category Network, select the wireless network drivers accordingly and click “Download File” and save the file on desktop.
10. Run the downloaded file and restart the system.
11. Try connecting to the wireless network.

Hi, thanks for the answer. I have followed those steps but nothing has changed. I have already set the roaming aggressivenes to max and set power saving options to maximum performance. The 5 ghz band is enabled on my router settings, but still I can only see the 2,4 one. Thanks again.
