Connected to wireless but no internet

Hey!

It all started when my dad decided to mount our router and modem to a wall. He disconnected the cable from the modem, cutting my connection off while i was in the middle of a lol game. After he re-connected the cable in the modem. he started it up, along with the wireless router. Unfortunately, my laptop connects to the network but it doesnt have access. I am writig this from my phone which is connected to the wireless connection and has working internet connection. I tried unplugging and restarting, and troubleshooting but nothing helped. we also have a wired laptop and another wireless one connected to it besides mine.

I necer had this problem before. I have a dell inspiron 5550 or 5510 runnin win7 on 64bit.

Help ;(

Fixed the problem. For anyone else having a similar problem, try to activate your DHCP

I fixed it. The problem was that DHCP was disabled. For anyone with the same problem google how to activate DHCP on your OS

dragos1912,

Power off your ISP modem/router and your wireless router(if any) for 30 seconds. Then power on the ISP modem/router. Wait 15 seconds, then power on the wireless router(if any)

Restart the computer and try to connect.

What happens?

it connects as soon as it starts. Unfortunately it has no internet connection. i tried plugging a internet wire in and it works that way. but the placement of wires doesnt allow me to keep it plugged in all the time. i want to remind you other devices connected trough wireless work.

i tried troubleshsooting and it detected "windows cant communicate with the device or resource (primary dns server).
