Cannot install Wi-Fi Driver - Latitude 10

I reinstalled Windows 8 (not 8.1) on my Latitude 10, though of course most of the drivers weren't installed since they weren't in the default Windows installation disc, including the Wi-Fi driver. I tried to install it by downloading the driver from the Dell website on another laptop, transferring the driver to a usb, and transferring the driver from the usb to the Latitude 10. Though when the bluetooth part of the driver starts installing, it stops midway and displays "Activate Bluetooth using Wireless Switch". I checked BIOS and Bluetooth is on. Once it starts installing the Wi-Fi part of the driver, it also stops and displays "Error 'Update.cpp 1202' has occured and Setup cannot continue." The driver is called "Network_Driver_4Y0Y8_WN_12.0.0.6300_A06". Please help, I have been having this problem for a month and have called Dell several times with their solutions failing as well (one of the solutions was to switch from Windows 8.1 to Windows 8, which didn't change anything).

Okay, for anyone else who runs across this problem. It was resolved by first installing the chipset driver, then installing the network driver.

I looked through Device Manager and found 2 devices with SUBSYS in their hardware keys:

PCI Standard host CPU bridge:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08C0&SUBSYS_05831028&REV_05
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08C0&SUBSYS_05831028
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08C0&CC_060000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08C0&CC_0600

Microsoft Basic Display Adapter
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08CF&SUBSYS_05831028&REV_05
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08CF&SUBSYS_05831028
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08CF&CC_030000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08CF&CC_0300

Under Network Adapters, there is only this:

Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter

With the hardware key: root\kdnic

Turning off WLAN and Bluetooth did not change anything in Device Manager.

All 3 drivers gave me the same errors except A03, which when installing WLAN, was successful, though Wi-Fi still does not work. A03 still gave me the same error when installing Bluetooth.

I should add that the reason why I reinstalled is because the top half of the touchscreen didn't work.

Hey there Spider, looks like this thread has been unattended for quite some time. Did you ever find a solution to your wifi reinstallation issues on the Latitude 10? I'm having the same issue presently.

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Curt

I did find the solution, but 4 months later. I forgot to post the solution in here though. Thanks for giving people the solution :)
