broadcom 802.11n keeps disconnecting windows 7

My Dell vostro 3560 with windows 7 professional keeps disconnecting using the broadcom 802.11n wireless adapter. It does this three or four times a day. My laptop is 3 metres from router, and all other wireless devices stay connected. Sometimes rebooting laptop resolves problem....sometimes reseting the adapter solves problem but not every time. It seems eventually the laptop picks up the wifi in its own time. Please can someone advise me on this

browncat22,

Try switching your wireless router to channel 11.

browncat22,

Try these tweaks....

Start, Control Panel, device manager. Click on Network and then right click on your network adapter, left click properties, power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.

Go to the power options, and changed the Wireless Adapter Setting, from Maximum Power Setting to Maximum Performance.

Go to the Advanced tab in the Device Manager and deactivate the "n" function. This has worked for several, including myself.

It usually says something like 'deactivate "n" function'. It is different for different wireless cards, so I can't give you the exact wording. Some may not have this option. All the older machines of mine have an option, but the Asus T100 tablet I'm using here has an "abgn" modem that does not have a disable option. Perhaps you could search the web for this option o\for your specific modem.
