Bluetooth LE

Bluetooth LE is supposed to be included in  Windows 11, version 22H2 and above although Microsoft says not all vendors support it currently.  It is not on my Inspiron. Will Dell provide an update?

Accessibility Issue:  I am trying to connect my new Costco hearing Aids & am told that my TWO-YEAR-OLD Windows 11 system does not support Bluetooth LE. My drivers for Bluetooth LE are from 2006!!! WHAT???

I thought that I did a great thing by getting a whole new system when I could not upgrade my old Dell Windows 10 system. So now I have this supposed up-to-date deluxe system with what I thought was the best processor, until now. I have already gone through Dell support, and they have confirmed that my system does not support Bluetooth LE and that an updated driver must be released in order to get Bluetooth LE. I am asking bc I got new Philips Hearlink 9050 Hearing Aids that do not work with Classic Bluetooth and require Bluetooth LE in order to connect. I have contacted the mfr. of these hearing aids, Philips, and they say it is up to the computer mfr, not Philips. I contacted Dell who says that a driver update needs to be released, its up to the mfr, not Dell. So is it Intel? Killer? idk, where can I get a resolution for this issue? Thank you for any advice!

  • Processor:
  • 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700
  • Clock Speed:
  • 2.1Ghz
  • L2 Cache Size:12288

    • Adapter:
    • Killer E3100G 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Controller
    • Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
    • Dell XPS 8950 Desktop  64 bit OS

      Edition Windows 11 Home
      Version 24H2
      Installed on ‎11/‎8/‎2024
      OS build 26100.4351
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.107.0

    Per Windows:

Some Windows 11 devices that currently don't support LE Audio might gain support for it in the future through driver updates from the manufacturer. For additional compatibility questions about Bluetooth LE Audio, consult with the manufacturer of the Windows device and the headset or earbuds.

I tried Dell one more time, my particular solution is to upgrade my wifi card to a new card that supports Bluetooth LE. As there is NO card available rn, I have no idea when it will be in, I've been waiting patiently for my system to do this.

Also contacted Windows support, they had me contact their Accessibility desk, who were also no help, "The Bluetooth LE is not available for your system."

  • Dell, why are you providing substandard systems? I have always trusted Dell, anymore, I'm not so sure.

Note: I am just a regular person, not a tech guru, but if AI is so great, why can't AI solve this issue for me?

Michael L. from Intel Support was kind enough to pass along this info:

Regarding your issue, it is best contact Microsoft for further assistance and let me inform you that Intel® Wireless and Bluetooth® Adapters support a wide range of codecs, but the operating system (OS) utilizes these codecs natively with respective peripherals, not the adapter itself. Therefore, if there are concerns or further inquiries about "codec support," we recommend reaching out to Microsoft Technical Support.

Additionally, for questions about Bluetooth LE support, you can review our Bluetooth® Profiles supported by Intel® Wireless Adapters and the Intel® Bluetooth® LE Audio Infographic.

Unfortunately, Microsoft Windows 11 Accessibility were no help when I contacted them.
