Bluetooth disabled automatically

Hi,

I'm using Precision 5510 and Dell Thunderbolt™ Dock TB16 -240W.

About a month ago, bluetooth toggle button disappeared from the setting window.

I checked device manager and it was disabled and it appears when I choose "Show hidden devices" in device manager window. I didn't turn bluetooth off but somehow it happened.

I tried to update the bluetooth driver, but it seems all bluetooth drivers are up to date.

I also checked services and Bluetooth Support Service and Bluetooth Handsfree Service are running and they run automatically as the laptop starts up.

When I restart the laptop twice or three times, the bluetooth toggle button appears and it works fine. However, it disappears when I "sleep" the laptop and recover it from the sleep.

I suspect that it might something to do with connecting/disconnecting to/from Dell Thunderbolt™ Dock (I use the laptop at work, and unplug Dock cable and bring it back home every day), but not quite sure.

This happens almost every day and it's getting annoying...

If anyone has a solution, please let me know.

Cheers

Koji

I also have had this issue on my XPS 7590. What's odd is that Bluetooth seems to come back when disconnecting the computer from the dock.

What's worth noting is that I had serious issues if I used the laptop undocked, closed the lid to put it to sleep (e.g. working while out then coming home to use the dock), plugged it in the dock while still asleep and tried to wake it via the button on the dock itself. I started plugging the laptop in while it was awake and unlocked which stopped the other issues, but that's also when I started having this issue.

Just putting the computer to sleep via the start menu and waking it again seems to be enough to get the enable Bluetooth switch to show up again. It's annoying that it doesn't just work, but at least it's a relatively simple fix.
