Bluetooth and Wireless not responding

I've had the Bluetooth problem for a couple months.... it says 'Bluetooth stack not started'.... or something to that effect.  It doesn't show any problems in the software, but it will not connect properly.

Recently, I formatted the c: drive and reinstalled windows xp.  Afterwards, even after reinstalling the drivers, the wireless card (TrueMobile 1400) will not respond.  I have tried numerous reinstallations and even removing and reinstalling the PCI card.   Still no response.  It acts like a hardware problem, but why would formatting the drive harm the hardware?

Thanks for any help,

Nate

P.S. I have an Inspiron 9100

try pressing firmly on the underside of the laptop - the left region towards you.  I had and have the same problem... somehow the BT adapter is loose inside.
