Alienware AW610M mouse won't update firmware
I have an AW610M mouse which I bought refurbished from Dell last year. The Alienware Command Center keeps notifying me that I need to update firmware but it says to connect the mouse, which is plugged in to the USB port on the computer. It's definitely plugged in correctly because the mouse is working and wireless switched off, however it won't let me update the firmware.
I also just realised that the mouse has stopped charging, even though the light on top is flashing between orange/yellow/green to signal that it should be. The battery % is constantly dropping though and I don't know if it's a cable issue or that of firmware.
Any advice/help with this would be most appreciated!

My AW610M was newly bought from Amazon in 2021, and the same issue happened here. My mouse is still good for charging, but every time I turn on my computer it says that new firmware is available and asks me to connect the mouse to the laptop with USB. I did every time, and every time in the Alienware command center it said that it could not find the new firmware after I plugged it in with USB. Very frustrating! I even tried to download and install the driver from dell's official website, and still, the same issue persisted even though the install program says that the installation is complete. This is ridiculous. The laptop I am using is also an Alienware laptop, which makes the situation even more not understandable.

Even I have this problem. I even went on https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/alienware-mouse-aw610m/drivers to download Firmware Update for Alienware Wireless Mouse – AW610M and nothing.

I was finally able to update it. I saw an update button under update in mouse settings. I just plugged in my mouse for a long time and I finally get the update button.

Here we are, 2 years after the last reply, and I still can't find where this has been resolved. Have I missed the solution somewhere?
