Activating wifi without FN+F2 key N5110

Hello,

first of all let me introduce my problem..

mom tried to clean the keyboard with water so it get broken

it turned that my pc stop working and I resolved the issue with unpluging the keyboard and using USB-keyboard

now I cant access to the wifi cuz you must use the FN+F2 key

all drivers are installed properly and I have no problem with the rooter

just need to press FN+F2 to make it work but it's not possible with the USB keyboard..

and btw in my bios options (the one you got access by pressing F2 at the start) there is nothing to resolve the problem, I already watched videos showing some solutions but it's not efficicient on my pc

sorry for my poor english..

Hi Sion1111,

Unfortunately, there seems to be no other option to enable WiFi in your laptop. The laptop’s keyboard has to be replaced.

Please refer the following link to check the computer’s warranty status: http://dell.to/10pMa86

If the computer has active warranty with Complete Care, please send me the service tag and registered owner’s name on the laptop in a Private Message. To send me a Private Message, click my User name, and then click Start Conversation.

Hi Sion1111,

Welcome to Dell community!

WiFi can be enabled via Windows Mobility Center:

  • Press the “Windows” key on the USB keyboard to bring up the “Start” menu
  • Type “Windows Mobility Center” and press Enter
  • Click “Turn Wireless On” to activate the laptop’s WiFi

Also, if the laptop has active warranty with Complete Care, I can arrange for laptop repair. Please refer the following link to check the computer’s warranty status: http://dell.to/10pMa86
