What is DELL Switch "Thermal Sensor"?
hello. I am experiencing a temperature issue with my S4048T-ON switch
No temperature-related logs were generated on the switch, but alarms were generated in NMS
Here's how I think about why the alarm was raised in NMS.
In the guide, there is a "Unit Environment Status" item that indicates the switch temperature and a "Thermal Sensor Readings" item with unknown content
An NMS alarm occurred because the switch temperature exceeded the alarm threshold.
However, I don't understand why there are no temperature logs on the switch.
I have the following questions and if you know the answers, please let me know.
1. Am I correct that the switch is not generating any temperature-related logs?
2. What is a thermal sensor and is it correct that the highest value of the thermal sensor (
55C) is displayed as the switch temperature as shown in the attached image?
