UDP Multicast not Traversing Across Dell Switches
Hi Everyone,
I have taken over a new site/client and have run into an issue where a device Connected to a N2048 switch is sending out UDP packets on ports 319 and 320 and a devices listening on another N2048 is not seeing/hearing any of these packets.
Setup is similar to: (1) N2048 Access Switch - Sending Device plugged in here - (2) N4048 Core switch - (3) N2048 Access Switch (receiving device plugged in here)
The two devices are on vLAN 100 and all the ports/uplinks are tagged appropriately and regular traffic passing through fine.
I put a laptop with Wireshark running on the (1) N2048 switch and I can 'see' the UDP packets in Wireshark
I put the laptop into switch (3) and Wireshark does not see any UDP traffic
I pushed some test UDP Broadcast packet out when plugged into switch (1), and a device 'listening' on switch (3) can see the packets
The device broadcasting on Switch (1) is sending UDP PTP packets via Multicast
I jumped onto the GUI of the N2048 switches and Multicast was already turned on and enabled, IGMP Snooping is turned on and enabled. Not overly familiar with the 4048 switches to be honest and I am combing through the running config of it right now but any tips/assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hello thanks for choosing Dell.

must be upgraded firmware to the latest version to avoid software exceptional issues.
If your system is in warranty you can send switch logs of the three switches( 2 access switches and 1 core switch) for us to check configuration.
as well as interface details and topology diagram.
Wish you a good one.
