SSL and TLS on a S4048 with OS 9.9
Have found several posts on this none of them seem to resolve it. The ones that seem to the person stated a Dell rep sent them procedures. We have had Tenable call out this SSL Version 2 and 3 Protocol Detection | Tenable® vulnerability on our S4048 switch. Well for years and now someone wants to fix it. But maybe not enough to buy a new switch. We have tried show ssl, ssl status, show tls, tls status (none of which are in the list of commands but hey tried it anyway). Looked through manuals CLI lists, etc. How in the heck do you even see what the switch is set to? At this point wonder if it is just calling out the Software Version 9.9 instead of any particular setting. Looked through tenable to see what CLI or command it is passing to figure out the switch isn't in TLS and is using SSL didn't find it. Is it even possible for 9.9 to goto TLS? Any help is appreciated.

Hello colomoose,
I see you note you are on OS9.9. I am having difficulty finding any documentation for that version.
Have you considered updating to V9.14.1.14? :
Dell Configuration Guide for the S4048–ON System v.9.14
>>Transport layer security (TLS)
https://dell.to/46ZlpAg
Dell Networking OS Version V9.14.1.14 for S4048 Switch
https://dell.to/46RSG0d
NOTE: If you are upgrading from Dell EMC Networking OS version 9.9(0.0P18) or earlier, you cannot directly upgrade to version 9.14(2.8) or above. Upgrade to version 9.10(0.0) then upgrade to the required version.

Charles thanks for the reply, we couldn't find anything on 9.9 either but that is what the "Show Version" shows. We may upgrade to a newer version but in our environment it is a bit more difficult then in others. In the mean time if I could figure out how to see what it is currently set to that would be a step forward.

Hello, please see the attached and https://dell.to/3Ol2dpd
NOTE There are three modern versions of the TLS protocol: 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2. Older versions are called SSL v1, v2, and v3, and are not supported.
9.14.2.6
