S5148F-ON tcp traffic
Hey guys,
Just wondering, has anybody had any issue with these switches in sense of throughput?
I have two of these in a vlt setup over 100G ports. Few servers and few routers are connected in vlt-port-channel.
When I'm doing a throughput test from a router (or a server) connected to these switches, the UDP traffic is getting the port speed (10Gig for example), but when I do the same test but TCP traffic... its like 10-40% max of the interface capacity.
I tried playing around with flow control, but it seems nothing helps.
Not sure will hashing on the port-channel help?
btw, the switches are just an L2 pass-through, nothing really special on them. Simple ToRs. No storage traffic on them.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi, thanks for choosing Dell.
OS10 v10.4.3.8 >> 10.5.0.9 >>onie-updater/onie-firmware>> 10.5.3.4
This method is to be used for upgrading switch firmware on the VLTi switches.

That's the first thing that each support pulls out... upgrade.
This is like the second Dell switch pair that I have with the same 'issue'.
Upgrading it will not fix it. Tried it.
Any other suggestions?

Hello @darko011,
Yes.. updating is important for many reasons. That's why support keeps recomending it before going any further.
I think you are waiting for a community answer so I will let the post open in case anybody wants to step in.
Regards.
