Right DAC cable for N3024f 1G SFP port to N2048P SFP+ port

I have an N3024f connected to a N2048p stack using DAC cables now, but on the N3024f side I have been using the two 10g SFP+ ports.

I've got some networking changes coming down the pipe and I need to move this connection on the N3024f side to a couple of the SFP 1G ports (Gi1/0/1-24).  The SFP+ DAC cables I've been using won't work (in theory, and in practice, I tried them..).

What's the right DAC cable (or right kind of cable)?  Due to the switches being a bit on the old side (I know..) I'm getting a fair amount of conflicting information about whether it's possible at all or what DAC cables might work?

My fallback position is either using 1G optical modules and a fiber patch cable or 1G RJ45 modules in the N2048 and using the two RJ45 combo ports on the N3024f.
