I would recommend first to transfer ownership of the switch with our Ownership Transfer page. When it is in your name you can use the Digital locker to download the OS and license.

I actually found a copy of OS10 10.5.0.5 (not from DDL) and I got it installed. However, it seems there is only the trial license and I need a perpetual license now.

We submitted the ownership transfer form, however the transfer was denied and the company this was purchased from is not responding either now :(.

Looks like my only option is call in and see what they can do. This is a pretty frustrating ordeal I must say but I have to keep trying.

Is there anywhere else I can get the perpetual license so I can close this issue?

recently we got two S4148F-ON with OS10-Enterprise pre installed, and we completed ownership transfer,

however we dont see the devices in DDL, both devices were purchased from 3rd party.

are we still eligible to access DDL for those devices ?

Hello, as I know, customers who buy Dell switches directly from Dell or from authorized Dell resellers usually get DDL access. If you bought the S4148F-ON switches from a third party, you might not have DDL access. But I suggest you contact Dell’s network support for more help and information. Because I think they have faced similar issues. I reviewed and found some below notes.

• For every Dell Partner Order you will receive unique Registration Code. The unique Registration Code will be tied to all the software products on the Dell Partner Order.
• The email being used to login to Dell Digital Locker and completing the Registration Code process is the one getting instantaneous access to software products on the Dell Partner Order.
• Once a Registration Code is consumed you will not be able to resubmit it within Dell Digital Locker. Dell Digital Locker | Dell UK

Hello Erman,

just to be clear - we are not looking for any updates as we dont have active support contract for the switches at the moment, we only want to get a copy of license file for one device.

we will try to reach Dell's network support to see if they can help to resolve this issue.
