PowerConnect N2000 - VOIP phones no longer work after code upgrade.

I have an N2000 switch running code 6.6.0.13 with a some APs, VOIP Phones, and some other things supporting a small building. Whenever I update the code to 6.7.1.9 or 6.7.1.13. In each instance, the only service that doesn't return is VOIP. The phones are on, but they are not working. They display the no service warning. All other services on the switch appear to be working fine.

Thankfully when I revert back to the old code, service returns to the VOIP phones. I've gone through the release notes a few time. What am I missing?

Hello Strike808,

I'm glad to see a rollback worked to get you up and running.

I haven't heard of the update breaking VOIP. I'll do some checking and update you.

Can you try step up the firmware and check results.

Exact same problem with the N3200 series.  Going from 6.6.3.17 to 6.7.1.4 nothing is able to get an IP address, its like the VLAN's just stop passing traffic except VLAN1.  Reverting back to the 6.6 series firmware, everything works again.

So far these Dell switches have been nothing but a headache to setup and manage.  Not only is the spec sheet wrong (the N3208PX is not stackable and not rack mountable), but how does one mess up the firmware to cause VLAN's to stop working??

I tried to update the firmware of our N1548-stack (2 units) from 6.5.4.4 to 6.7.1.14. After reboot it seems that no LAGS were working and or the routing of Vlans was disrubted. I had to roll back to 6.5.4.4. Then all was working like before.

Hello @Americus,

Currently, there is an escalation to engineering team to reproduce the error and check why is happening.

Regards.
