OS10 Enterprise SNMP monitoring of Optic RX/TX power?
I have looked on the internet and docs for quite awhile today, and I so far cannot find if there is a way to read the fields that you would get out of 'show interface phy-eth 1/1/1' etc
looking to use snmp to read things such as
SFP Tx power = 2.057996 dBm
SFP Rx power = 0.598284 dBm
Is this possible?
My test switch is a S5224F running 10.5.6.2.
Thanks!

Hello,
Frankly, I am not aware of such a reading. I couldn't see it as a result of my research. I did looked up here for MIBs https://dell.to/4bEO6E3
If you have OID may that help since it is similar to Cisco in many aspects, I looked for a way on the Cisco side. SNMP OID for TX/RX Power of SFP transceivers - Cisco Community

Hi all:
I would like to know if anyone has been able to find out what the OIDs associated with transceivers are, please.
Thanks in advance

Hello,
We do not have an OS10 SNMP OID for TX and RX transceiver power.
But it may be possible to do that with OS10 Telemetry, and CloudIQ. CloudIQ is an artificial intelligence-powered SaaS application developed by Dell Technologies. It can do Proactive Monitoring to Identify potential issues before they impact operations. CloudIQ can accept telemetry data from OS10 devices, but not directly via the streaming telemetry configuration used for gRPC/GPB collectors.
Instead, OS10 devices connect to CloudIQ through a CloudIQ Collector, which acts as an intermediary.
Here is an example about Telemetry in OS10.

CloudID is continuously enhancing, and additional features are being developed.

Hi:
First of all, thank you for your reply.
However, we are looking for a “simple” way to graph the SFP TX and RX powers.
Something similar to what can be done in OS9 with the “dellNetIfTransceiverDataTable” (OID: 1.3.6.1.1.4.1.6027.3.11.1.3. 1), with the MIB objects “dellNetIfTransTransmitPowerLane1” (OID: 1.3.6.1.1.4.1.6027.3.11.1.1.3.1.1.1.8) and “dellNetIfTransReceivePowerLane1” (OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.11.1.1.3.1.1.1.12).
Is there any way to do this?

Hi,
I can't confirm that the OID for OS10 is the same as OS9. But the MIB OID for each switch is available at the support site.
Do check if your Dell profile can access the downloads, if it does not appear, you will need to raise a support case via the support line to obtain the MIB file.

@DELL-Joey C:
I reviewed each of the MIB files associated with the software version we have installed on the switch and found no reference to Tx/Rx power.
Additionally, I searched those files for keywords like: “Optical,” “Transceiver,” “DOM,” “dBm,” and “SFP,” with no results.
So, I submitted a ticket to Dell Support requesting the MIB/OID for parameters such as: "Tx/Rx power", "Temperature", "Voltage", "Tx/Rx power Low Warning threshold", "Tx/Rx power High Warning threshold", "Tx/Rx power Low Alarm threshold" and "Tx/Rx power High Alarm threshold".
Unfortunately, the answer was:
“The OS10 operating system has the ability to generate alerts or notifications (SNMP traps) associated with the corresponding OID or MIB. However, it's not possible to view the optical values in real time using SNMP queries.”
I think it's not cool that it's not possible to perform SNMP queries on these parameters, because it's very useful when you want to graph them.
At this point, I am waiting for Dell Support if there is any alternative to generate these graphs.
I'll post any news here.
Best regards,
DELL-Joey C
