network configuration issue involving Dell switch model ECM S4148GF-ON and a Nutanix cluster
Dear Dell Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. We are currently facing a network configuration issue involving our Dell switch model ECM S4148GF-ON and a Nutanix cluster. We have already contacted Nutanix support, and they have suggested that the problem may be related to the Dell switch configuration. We kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter.
Description of the Issue: We have implemented the Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) on our Nutanix cluster to enhance network performance and redundancy. However, we are encountering difficulties in getting the LACP configuration to function correctly when connecting to our Dell ECM S4148GF-ON switch.
During pre-checks for an upgrade operation, we received the following error message: "Operation Failed. Reason: Lcm prechecks detected 1 issue that would cause upgrade failures.\nCheck 'test_lacp_configuration' failed: Could not find pnics attached to the CVM interface. Verify that LACP is configured in Network Switch. Please refer KB 9232.. Please refer to KB 14277"
Our Request: We kindly request your expertise and support in diagnosing and resolving the LACP configuration issue with our Dell switch and Nutanix cluster. Specifically, we would appreciate it if you could:
- Review our current Dell switch configuration to ensure that LACP is correctly configured.
- Identify any potential misconfigurations or compatibility issues that could be causing the problem.
- Suggest and assist with any necessary adjustments to the switch configuration to ensure proper integration with our Nutanix cluster.
Additional Information:
- Dell Switch Model: ECM S4148GF-ON
- Nutanix Cluster: Nutanix NX-8135-G7
Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated, as we aim to resolve this issue and optimize our network configuration as soon as possible.
Please let us know if you require any further information or access to our switch configuration details. We are open to scheduling a remote session or providing any necessary logs and configurations for your analysis.
Thank you for your assistance in advance.
Best regards,
DELL-Chris H
