N4064F Fans

In the web UI on my N4064F, it shows that there is a bad PSU but also shows that fan#5 is bad.

I can't find any documentation that shows me the numbering of the fans to know which one is #5. Is fan#5 the one in the PSU that needs to be replaced? Is there documentation I missed somewhere about this?Screen Shot 2022-11-10 at 2.37.18 PM.png

Hi @SteffanCline,

Yes, PSU1 contain FAN#5. If you do a #Show System Fan, it should list PS-1 Fan No power status. That confirms that PSU1 has failed/no power which FAN#5 is having an error.

@DELL-Joey C  That was it! I replaced that PSU and now the health check shows it's ok. Is there anywhere in the documentation that shows the numbering on the fans so I can better track this in the future?

Hello SteffanCline,

That is great to see it is fixed.

I see the fan numbers should be embossed on the rear but I'm not finding any good documentation on fan numbering.

I'll check with Joey to see if he has a good resource.

@Dell -Charles R , I do see that the numbers are embossed for the four middle fans on the rear but that didn't cover the fans in the PSU and I have no idea if there are any others internal or not. I figured surely there had to be a technical drawing somewhere showing this. I googled quite a bit and found nothing. While I do have it working, it would be good to find such a document I can keep with my notes should something like this happen again.

Either way, yes, this is resolved and I appreciate the help.
