N3248-P Dropped packages as soon as I activate the Captive Web Portal
Hi Community,
This is the first time I've come here for help, so bear with me.
In my environment I have 4x OS10 switches as backbone, 2 each in the stack. One stack in each main building. These are connected to 10 other N3248-P switches (all single no stack).
One access point is connected to each of these N3248-P switch. These have 2 WIFI SSIDs internal and guest. In the guest WIFI we have a captive web portal so that the user has to agree to our guidelines if he wants to use this WIFI.
WIFI-Guest: vlan 2204 (T)
WIFI-Internal: vlan 2200 (T)
So now the problem:
If I switch off the Captive Web Portal both WIFI connections work.
As soon as I switch on the Captive Web Portal in the guest WIFI, a page is displayed but with no content, just "error" and all packets are discarded at the switches. Of course only for the guest WIFI, the internal WIFI continues to work normally.
Therefore, I connected one of the access points to the backbone for testing. Lo and behold, everything works perfectly, even with Captive Web Portal on.
I can't find any error, do you have any idea in which direction i can/should continue to search?
regards

Hi, I can think of a few things for brainstorming, you can try with a different browser. It made me think it might be a certificate problem, but I wasn't sure what it could be. (SSL certificate) I think you have already enabled captive portal on switch and access point. Might be need to configure the protocol mode to use HTTP or HTTPS. Let's see what our experienced users in our community will contribute.
