N1524: Shut VLAN 1 can I do it safely?
Hello,
I have an N1524 switch here, the show version command means the firmware version is 6.3.3.14. All unused ports are shut but the snmp still message that the Dell interface status is critical because:
CRITICAL: Interface 'Vl1' Status : down (admin: up)
the show interfaces status command shows the vlan 1 on some interfaces only as
(1)
It seems that 'Vl1' is not in use. I can do a
conf t
interface Vl1
shut
exit
but can I be sure that everything will work fine after I did so?
Best Regards

Waltdrus,
Since it is only the default, if you were to move all the traffic to the other vlans it should work fine if you were to disable it.
Let me know if this helps.
