LAG Load Balancing on a S4148F-ON Switch
Hello,
Let me preface this by saying I have next to no knowledge on networking or the like. I have been using a S4148F-ON switch to mock up two isolated VLAN networks connected by a LAG. I have been able to transfer data over the LAG but it seems the load balancing is not acting appropriately. It only uses a single port no matter how much data I send to it. I can disconnect on port and the load transfers to the linked as expected. The show port-channel summary shows the correct interfaces in the correct channel-groups. I can see that only 50% of the link rate is being used when I run show interface port-channel 2. I have played around with the load-balancing configs but nothing seems to change how it handles the data. Is there a secret setting I need to know to get the data to overflow into the other port?
Thanks!

Hello, thanks for choosing Dell. With a question like this, it is best you share the topology and your logs with us. Is your system still in warranty?

Hello trent55427,
This may be the helpful documentation you need:
OS10 Enterprise Edition User Guide Release 10.4.0E(R3)
Port-channel interfaces page 77
Load balance traffic page 80, 308
https://dell.to/3NZ94oC
Since you are still under warranty, you may contact Support directly for an engineer to do a remote session with you to get a look.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the switch is still under warranty.
How should I share the topology and logs? I can draft up a topology map here if that suffices. What logs are needed?

Thanks for the resource. I am working on contacting support directly as you suggested.
