Issue downloading image to Powerswitch S4128F-ON

Hello Community,

I'm having issue on downloading an image on the primary powerswitch as shown below. Im using TFTP to download the image as shown below.
However, i was able to download the image on the Secondary Powerswitch with no issues using Solarwinds TFTP.

Initially, i used Solarwinds TFTP on the secondary switch with no issue however its failing on the primary switch. Tried using TFTPD64 still the same on the primary switch.

Could it be permission? Any help will be appreciated. thanks!

MarkVGH,

 

The first things I would consider, as they are the usual culprits, would be that you;

  1. Use the original ,tar image without extracting.
  2. Ensure TFTP/FTP server is reachable (pingable from switch) and properly configured.
  3. Confirm sufficient flash space on the switch.
  4. Use the correct CLI syntax for image transfer, I assume this isnt the case with success on other switch
  5. Stop ONIE discovery if active, because if the switch is in ONIE Install Mode, it may not behave as expected during image transfer.

Was able to transfer the image using SFTP, looks like the TFTP server was having issue.
