IP Device Tracking - how to clear Inactive IPs -- aging time? N3248PXE-ON

I have a N3248PXE-ON and i am trying to configure IP Device Tracking.  I have it set up and working, however I am getting IP addresses that will not fall off of the table when they go inactive. I know i can clear the table manually, but how or what is the command to have this happen automatically?

I currently have the following:

ip device tracking

ip device tracking probe interval 300

ip device tracking probe delay 10

then on the interfaces i have:

ip device tracking maximum 2  (data line and voice line)

however, when a data line has a lease expire the old IP is being held in the table and the logs fill up saying --- IPV4DT[IPv4_Device_Tra]: ipv4dt_main.c(1756) 2946624 %% WARN IPv4DT Entry to on interface Te1/0/23 in VLAN xx is not added into IPv4DT Tables as interface limit is reached.

Thanks

Thanks for the help on this...The response was not really what i was looking for, however I was able work around the issue (i believe, fingers crossed) by adding the aging time to the mac address table.

mac address-table aging-time 1800

Hi, thanks for choosing Dell.

#clear IP device tracking {all | interface if-name | ip ipv4-address | mac MACaddress}

Thanks for that response however,

That command has to be entered every time manually when i want to clear the tables for all the interfaces or for an individual interface, correct?  What i am looking for is a command i can place on the switch that will automatically clear the inactive addresses without another tech getting on there and running the "clear ip" command.

Is there such a command?  Do i have my configuration incorrect? Should the inactive IPs drop off when the table is full and a new active IP is added to the table?

thanks

Hello @Cathy_Jo,

I don't think there is a built-in solution to run it automatically. I've been checking the CLI guide and I don't see such option.

You might, however, check Dell Networking Open Automation Guide https://dell.to/3ejFCtq

Regards.
