Greyed out SFP ports on gui and wont take link

I have two n1148-on that I've been struggling to get to work with uplinks and other switches. After I factory reset them, I don't get the blue ports on the GUI. Two out of four are greyed out on one and the other all 4 are greyed out and cant get them to take a link.

Had to get an evaluation on our fiber legs and they found issues. Found our culprit

Thank you for the help!

Hi,

Are they Dell transceivers? If they are, which model are they? If they are not do they match the type of the other switches?

Hi Josh,

I'm using all Dell SFP-10G-SR 3G84K and the other switches are too. This isn't changing the outcome of factory resetting two 1148s and SFP ports acting differently.

I wanted to use a 2x LR from fs.com because we have a run that's just about 1000' with two breakouts in between and we would like that to be 10G. Sounds like I shouldn't try.

FlingBits,

Would you confirm the specific part number for the Dell SFP-10G-SR 3G84K, as the one I am pulling up is not showing compatible with the N1148. I may be looking at the wrong ones, so wanted to make sure.

Let us know.

SFP-10G-SR

DP/N: 03G84K

They play happy with the x1052's and N1148 - ON.. As long as the ports work.

Thank you, I am checking on them. Really quick can you confirm if you have configured it for stacking, as ports configured for stacking will show as grey?

They are acting as a stack when I plugged them in after the reset. Im pretty sure those ports do nothing.
