Factory Reset PowerSwitch S5248F-ON

We have 2 PowerSwitch S5248F-ON that were set up for us by a 3rd party a while back to be on either end of a fibre p2p.

we want to use them for something else but dont have the logins and so we want to factory reset them.

I dont seem to be able to download the OS10 to reinstall and only have access the the onie-rescue which limits us.

Im new to the dell and so learning on the go.

Does anyone have info on how i can sort this so i can configure these from the beginning

Take a look to https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000201897/how-to-make-password-recovery-for-os10-system

The OS10 software AND LICENSE is bind to a Dell Digital Locker account. Without ProSupport you also have only access for 90 days to the Software.

You should try the  default password for the linuxadmin wich is "linuxadmin".

@Origin3k Thanks for this!

This has given me access back on one of the switches.

But in the process of trying on the other i fear i have corrupted something as i dont get into the Dell OS fully i dont think as i cant run any commands.

Is there a way of copying the files from the working switch to the other easily?

We have Dell switches with an SSD inside.... you can take a look and try to mount it on your Linux.

comparing the 2 one switch has /images/A & B and the other has Sysroot1 & 2

So not sure if one has been updated and its not worked properly.

As mentioned im not familiar with these switches and so just wondered if there is easier ways to get this one back to the same as the one i have working
