Hi,
Looking at your configuration, have you already configure port 53 as no shutdown no switchport?
When you do a #show monitor session all, what is the output?
Have you connected port 53 to any device?

@DELL-Joey C hi
you understand wrong
that example source port 1/1/53 and so port 53 is normal
destination port 1/1/2 so port no switch port
now i mean : my server connect to 1/1/2 to collect information impossible so , if i want to collect information, my server could connect to where
my example config done, status true up correct dell document

Hi,
I might be misunderstanding your implementation. Mentioned that if you have done #show monitor session all and the state is true, then the configuration should be working. Now do let us know what is your environment setup. What connected as client device (source port), and what is connected as monitoring device (Destination port)? https://dell.to/4dLqleu
Can you do #show running-configuration and paste the output here.

@DELL-Erman O
HI
in this example you share me
OS10(config)# monitor session 1 OS10(conf-mon-local-1)# OS10(conf-mon-local-1)# source interface ethernet 1/1/7-1/1/8 rx OS10(conf-mon-local-1)# destination interface ethernet1/1/1 OS10(conf-mon-local-1)# no shut
if example type CLI same that with local mornitor in Dell Switch S4148 the result "% Error: Destination port should not be a L2/L3 port"
you need more config with interface ethernet 1/1/1 no switch port then example you share will work
ok, after that, what i'm need you help answer : my server connect to port 1/1/1 or witch port to collect information, if connect to 1/1/1 impossible, if connect another port so is port 1/1/1 leave unused
thanks

Hi,
I assume your server is the monitoring device that need to receive the monitored data from source port. With that, I am assuming (with accordance with the user guide, port 2 is the destination port) the server need to have the monitoring software. May I know what software are you using to monitor?
When a port is configured as no switchport, it operates in Layer 3 mode, meaning it can be assigned an IP address and used for routing. However, in the context of a monitoring session, the destination port is used to receive mirrored traffic and should not have an IP address or VLAN configuration.

----> that mean device need to collect information connect another port difference destination port, is that true?
because my device use any sofware need connect the system must be collect information

---> for this thing, i try a real system, if port no swtich port, you can not used and set ip address, and for this solution ( monitoring) port need not L2/L3 port : i do not know you true or dell document true, but for a both ability need information exactly

Hi,
----> that mean device need to collect information connect another port difference destination port, is that true?
Other devices are connected as source ports. Source ports can be as many but destination port is only 1, which is your server that is used to analyze using software.
---> for this thing, i try a real system, if port no swtich port, you can not used and set ip address, and for this solution ( monitoring) port need not L2/L3 port : i do not know you true or dell document true, but for a both ability need information exactly
Other ports that are connected to other device can be configured as desired. Only the destination port, your server/analyzer will be configured as no switchport no shut

Hi,
Based from the user guide, that I've been providing to you, yes. Your destination port is 1/1/2 and your source is 1/1/48.
Unfortunately, if you need more configuration guidance, you may need to contact the support line to further gather information of your environment configuration.
