Disable "Last configuration change" in running config
Every day the running config has a new message:
! Last configuration change at Jan 05 06:19:29 2022
How do I disable this? This is an issue because we receive an email when the running config changes.

The issue is within Solarwinds. There is a setting to ignore the "Last configuration change" line:

Is it something that has always happened or something that changed recently?

They are S4148 switches running OS 10.5.2.6. The running config message appears once a day. We have automation setup with Solarwinds that sends an email when the config changes, so we have been getting emails every day for all of the S4148 switches. It has been happening since we deployed the switches, so it seems like there is a logging parameter to modify? Maybe one of these: https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000102563/dell-emc-networking-os9-how-to-set-up-and-manage-logging-on-a-switch

Hi,
Which model switch is it? Is there something changing in the config? How often is it occurring?

Hello @nickarlingtontx,
Do you know the firmware version? Also, is the switch still on warranty?
Regards.

The firmware version is 10.5.2.6. They are new switches and are under warranty.

Nickarlingtontx,
We will have to research this further. Would you do me a favor and Private Message Josh and I the svc tag for the switch, so we can look into available options?
Thank you.

Nickarlingtontx,
I just needed to confirm a couple things.
You got an alert because the config was changed, then the email, but did you actually make a change or no? I ask because if you actually made a change then we cannot stop that alert because it is generated from the switch.
Also, is the alert coming from Solarwind?
Let me know.

I didn't make any changes, no. It happens every day, so it seems to be some automated process.

Thank you.
Was the alert from Solarwinds?

this is not an issue with Solarwinds, that is simply suppressing the problem.
I have the same issue on an S5232F running OS10 10.5.2.6. Every time you login and do show running-configuration the Last configuration change time updates to the current time - nothing has been changed so there is something definitely in the switch OS!
On an S4148F running 10.5.0.4 the Last configuration change time does NOT update every time

We are having the same issues with Kiwi Cat Tools 3.12.2.1255 ( Latest as of Today ) but it happnes in older version.
We have Z9100 Switches on Dell OS Version 10.5.4.2 and this issue is occurring but not on version 10.4.3.6.
No Config Changes are taking place. Its when you run the show running-configuration command the date, time updates.
When CatTools logs in ( or any user ) it inserts the current time into the running config. This is NOT GOOD.
How can we get this fixed.
