Different ways of Factory resetting 54xx with out console access

So I recently have gotten a 5448 powerconnect switch.
The switch appears to boot up just fine and would be sending STP out (using wireshark to see that)

The issue is that when I connect any which way to the console port and go through different bauds - I am unable to gain access to the switch via console.
Is there a way to reset the device with out using the console or the web interface (since I don't the network set up on the switch).

I have held down the reset button a few times. But it would appear that all it does is "restarts" the switch verse "resetting" it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

Hello,
I'm not sure why the reset button on the front doesn't work. Normally I would expect it to reset manually. Other than that, you can refer to page 80 resetting device here https://dell.to/3wHQPdP

Also, i found an article might be useful reference link https://dell.to/3B0VsCe

"How do I reset a Dell Powerconnect 5448 switch to default factory settings?

1. Connect to the switch via the console port and manually reboot the switch
2. As soon as power is applied, press and hold the and keys simultaneously
3. At the menu, press R for the “[R]eturn to Factory Default” option
4. The switch will reboot and all configuration changes and password information is cleared"

Hope that helps!
