Dell switch 5524, LAG what is the port speed
Hello
I have a switch dell 5524, on which I made LAG and LACP on 2 ports. According to the status of the port-channel, the speed is 1G
SW # show interfaces status port-channel 1
Flow Link
Ch Type Duplex Speed Neg control State
-------- ------- ------ ----- -------- ------- --------- -
Po1 1G Full 1000 Enabled Off Up
Shouldn't the speed be 2G or am I mistaken.

Hello,
Thank you for your answer.
In fact, I see what the maximum bandwidth for data transfer between 2 devices is.

Hi,
It won’t show 2G. It is two 1G ports working together. The best analogy is a road, a single 1G port is a single lane with a speed limit of 1000. Creating a port channel is adding a second lane, but the speed limit is still 1000. This also means if you do a file copy from one place to another it will still be limited to 1G, but if you do two file copies each one can be 1G for a total of 2G.
