Dell S4810-ON switch operating system details required
Hi everyone,
I'm preparing for the deployment of Dell S4810-ON switches as ToR switches in the data center.
I was going through the specsheet of the product here: https://www.dell.com/learn/us/en/15/shared-content~data-sheets~en/documents~dell_networking_s4810-on_spec_sheet.pdf
Which said: "The Dell S4810-ON supports the open source Open Network Install Environment (ONIE) for zero-touch installation of alternate network operating systems."
I'm curious to know about what operating system is installed out of the box. Is it OS10 or OS9?
And, it would be helpful if I get the links for respective configuration documents as well?
Thank you

ChethanM,
The S4810-on only supports OS9, and some 3rd party OS's which we dont support. ONIE is just the boot loader that boots up prior to booting in to OS9 or the other 3rd party OS's.
You can find the S4810-ON install guide here.
Let me know if this helps.

That's because I cannot find the configuration document on the Dell's official S4810-ON product-support page other than installation guide and open networking troubleshooting guide.

Thank you for the response and the installation guide, Chris.
So, is this the appropriate configuration guide for the switch? Dell Configuration Guide for the S4810 System 9.14.1.5

Hi @ChethanM,
Yes you may use the user guide for your switch S4810-ON. To get more details for OS9, you can also refer to this page: https://dell.to/3OS752D for their CLI commands.
