Has anyone ran into this issue before that is able to offer a solution? The switch has been rebooted, but I am still unable to login.

Hi,

Can you try login using the linuxadmin/linuxadmin user after a reboot of the switch, to check if it is login profile issue? If you are able to log in, you can do a configuration backup, but since you mentioned you wanted to initialize the switch hence you might not have any current configuration. Please upgrade firmware using ONIE mode by choosing Rescue option and upgrade ONIE/BIOS/CPLD/OS10.5.6.4v.

@DELL-Joey C

Hi Joey,

When I try to use linuxadmin/linuxadmin it prompts for password change due to expiration. When I update new password I receive "Authentication token manipulation error"

login as: linuxadmin
linuxadmin@10.2.2.2's password:
You are required to change your password immediately (root enforced)

Hello,

The switch has 2 partitions OS10-A and OS10-B. You can try to load the firmware that is on the other partition OS10-B (if you are currently on OS10-A) and see if you get the same features.xml error there when trying to login via admin.

From the serial console after the BIOS post you should see the options to enter into OS10-B or OS10-A.

Use the arrow keys to scroll and select *ONIE.

GNU GRUB version 2.02

+-----------------------------------------+

OS10-A

OS10-B

*ONIE

If you are able to login, backup the running configuration to a file.

This error about features.xml was seen on very old versions of OS10 so if you are able to backup the configuration, you should try to install a more recent OS10 version like it was recommended above. You will lose the configuration when you install a new version from ONIE.
