Dell PowerEdge 2012 R2 Server: Unidentified Network (2 weeks now)
We have a Dell PowerEdge 2012R@2 server which for the past2 weeks; I can't get the NIC1 to secure a connection to the Internet. We have a Static IP on our machines
It all started 2 weeks ago
We have not changed any configuration or any other device including the server.
We plugged a USB Ethernet adapter and the SAME ERROR appeared. We removed the adapter using eject media - safely remove drive.
We then changed every Ethernet cables from and two and SAME error.
We shut off the ISP router & restarted it -- same error
We shut off the TP-Link switch & restarted it -- same error
We checked the NIC1 power saver option- it was unchanged.
We then disabled the NIC1 and restarted it -- same error
We placed the same static IP as the NIC1 and disabled it -- same error
We tried the following cmd's
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
-- SAME ERROR
Everything was working perfectly and all of a sudden AFTER restarting our servers ,ISP, Switch - NOTHING HAS WORKING.
? Is this a memory issue?
? something stuck somewhere?
? something preventing us to connect from NIC1 to our switch.
NIC1 has completely stopped and we can't figure out what is causing it?
We also checked any updated on any device drivers.... nothing.
