Dell PowerConnect 5234
Hello,
I am the network admin for a small theater. We just got our first managed switch (Dell Powerconect 5234) and was wondering if it had a web GUI by default. We have a router router, AP combo connected to it but we are starting to get to networked audio, This makes us need to configure Vlans, We were wondering if there is a way to get into the switches configuration menu without a console cable. We are willing to buy the cable but we don't know what type we should get or if it is needed at all.
Thanks

No GUI.
Every Dell Switch comes with a console cable.

Hi,
Did you have a typo in the switch model? Are you referring to 5324 instead? I'm unsure for older models of switch, DB9 to RJ45 is compatible, as the DB9 to DB9 cables are no longer in Dell product for sale. I'm providing the part number for DB9 to RJ45
C206M ASSY,CBL,I/O,CNSL,DB9-RJ45

Ah.... PowerConnect. This old gear comes with a WebGUI if your configure the Webserver to start. But a PC53xx must be 12 years and older.
