Dell EMC N1124T-ON Start-up port back-illumination meaning?
When I start-up a Dell EMC N1124T-ON (the unit is connected to a VT100 terminal), the POST is OK, the NAND loaded OK, U-Boot done. In the process there are green illuminations come from the back of the port groups, like from inside the port holes, "On and Off" once, for 1 seconds approximately (It is clear to me that this is part of the Self-Test). The illumination comes at the back of Group-1 and Group-3 only; no illumination with group 2. At the start-up process, the CLI is operative & responsive: I can press 2 and setup the Switch via CLI and I can operate the Switch configure.
Is that illumination behavior is ok / "as expected"? What it indicates?

Hello, the green illumination from the back of the port groups indicates that the switch is performing a self-test during the boot process. This is a normal and expected behavior, and it does not indicate any problem with the switch. During POST, many network switches will perform a series of diagnostic tests to ensure that the device’s hardware is functioning correctly before the operating system loads. This can include testing the device’s memory, processor, and network ports. It’s difficult to say for certain what each pattern of lights signifies. If the device is functioning normally and you’re not encountering any issues with network connectivity or performance, then it’s likely that this is normal behavior.
Hope that helps!
