Accessing PowerEdge M620
I have a PowerEdge e1000m chassis with multiple PowerEdge M620 servers. One server (server-1) is inaccessible through the iDRAC web interface because its NIC is set to Share mode, blocking remote access to its management IP. No operating system is installed on that server yet. I’m using CMC version 6.21 and iDRAC 7. How can I switch the NIC settings to Dedicated? The “racadm iDRAC.NIC.Selection” command I found online doesn’t seem to work, and I’m not sure how else to access this server settings. I’m new to all of this!
Thank you!

User02830,
Would you confirm if the CMC itself already has the IP assigned? If not then I would follow this and then retry. If you have configured the CMC and this is specific to a system, you may want to consider directly connecting to the M620 locally to set the iDrac port accordingly.
Let me know if this helps.

@DELL-Chris H The Chassis has IP, and I can access the iDRAC web UI. However, I don't find any setting where I can change the NIC selection of server-1. Can you please explain how I can directly connect to the M620 locally? Thank you!

@DELL-Erman O Thank you for your help. The issue was that I could not use KVM as it was tiered to other appliances. I used the front ports and reverted the NIC settings to Dedicated.
