RPC Error

Hello

when we want to cloning some backups, some of clones failed during this process, our traffic is huge with this peer(storage node)

 

Unable to start clone session: RPC send operation failed; peer = Storade Node IP:8374, errno = An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Dear Friend I checked network connectivity in client and server side... some of clones failded, not all of them... I changed Registery field like "keepalive" parametrs.... but some of backup yet failed...

This error usually points to the fact that either the connection has (temporarily) been dropped or the client service/daemon has died. Please check.

I do not say that there is a permanent issue but a temporary glitch might cause such effects.

can we solve this problem without reboot?

How can someone answer this - we do not know your system. This document was a general help where to look at - so far you did not even state whether you use Windows at all.

However, if this is a registry entry, then you must reboot, of course.

Hello

we use Windows server 2012...

after registry Edit we cannot reboot our servers for our services...

What you say is not true, in general. There are just situations where you must reboot your servers, for example after installing updates. It is just a question of timing.

But nobody would rewrite the OS for you ...
