Restoring a VM with Vmware Snapshots
If a VM that was backed up with Vmware snapshots is restored, does the ability to revert to snapshot still work? Have a situation were a new VM was built with Vmware snapshots taken as software was being installed. Server wasn't backed up until all the software was installed. Want to get rid of the snapshots but may need to revert to one of the snapshots if required.

Sure - this is exactly why you have snapshots for. It is a 'point-in-time "backup"', of course created by VMware. If it wouldn't work, why should VMware offer it at all?
However, depending on all the changes you made in the meantime, it might take a while until all the 'old' data will be removed. But of course, it makes sense to go back to a previous snapshot before you delete it and other snapshots.
