read open error, No medium found - Physical tape backup LTO5
Hello,
Two of our physical tape device in networker shows "read open error, No medium found" whenever we try to label any new tapes in it.
I believe the tape assignment have gone wrong here ? Without a rebooting the storage node responsible for physical tape tape, Can we correct the assignments ?

In general, rebooting a SN is not an issue - the NW server will take care that another SN, if available, can take over. This of course defends on your configuration which - as usual - is not listed here
Tape drive ordering is an issue, but it is not a NW functionality. This is done by the OS. NW just takes what the OS will think it sees.
Here is a link to document which will help you: https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/de-de/000051940/troubleshooting-tape-library-drive-ordering-problems-in-networker
Anything else depends on your configuration ...
