Proxycp not working to consolidate snapshot

Hello all,

We have a common issue in our environment, where I'll have that well known error  "Too many extra snapshot files (4) were found on this Windows VMs datastore. This can cause a problem for the backup or restore." So, I normally use the proxycp tools below to view and consolidate the troubled snapshots.

proxycp.jar --listproxydisk --cleanup

proxycp.jar --listsnapshots --vm --cleanup

proxycp.jar --orphanedsnapshot --vm --cleanup

proxycp.jar --consolidatesnapshots --vm

But, I now have a couple that this is not working for. When i run the commands, I see the following output.

Removing All the snapshots,  Please wait !!

101% ################################################## /

Removed All Snapshots : Time taken : 6 Sec 83 ms

But, when I run the backup, it fails with the same error again, and still shows the same hidden snapshot files.

Anyone seen this type of behavior after using proxycp? Normally it works for me the first try.
