Networker Virtual edition OS user/AD integration

Hi,

With the Virtual Edition appliances, has anyone ever done an AD integration of the Shell level, like using an agent  like Likewise or even a native integration? I have not found anything on this and we are looking to make sure our environment is relatively homogeneous. Most of our environment is built on our normalized Linux images with the AD auth integrated at build using a Likewise agent, but we have a few instances where NVE is a more optimal solution, but I want to make sure we don't hurt anything by introducing third party agents or if there is an optimal accepted standard, especially at the authentication/authorization level.
