Networker Backup on DD Boost Device Through DFC and IP Interface at same time.

Hello Friends, We are using Networker 19.2 in our Environment, and Backup is taken on DD Boost Devices.

Now the Scenario is Few of our clients have Direct fiber channel connection to Data Domain. But all other clients were not, and We have one backup policy in which there are multiple clients configured. one of them is the same client which is having direct fiber channel connection to data domain. but other clients they were not having direct Fiber channel connection to data domain. This Policy transfer the backup to one DD Boost device suppose "ddsap.001"

Now the issue is, when i enable “Enable Fiber Channel” option under “Data Domain Configuration” in DD Device properties, Only one clients backup (which is having Direct fiber channel connection) gets completed and all other clients failed. And if i disable that option all other clients (with Client direct settings enabled in client properties) gets completed, but the one client with DFC configuration fails.

So i want to know is there any method in which we can run both type of backup on one device at same time (i.e. client direct via IP and DFC).

I am not sure but you may try:

Go to NMC > Protection

Enable View > Diagnostic Mode

Open client properties (double click one of the clients) > Apps & Modules >
set Data Domain interface to IP (or Fibre Channel).

Then perform backup.

Thanks for reply, Simply setting this option at client properties won't work, there is an option whether to enable DFC or not on DD Device. if the DD Device is set to Fiber channel then client direct settings via IP interface will not work, and as i said in my post we have both type of clients in one single policy. i.e. client via DFC and Clients via IP interface. and we need both types to work at a time. Which is Not working right now.
