Networker 9: Where did schedule override 'full every 2 weeks on Friday' go?

Hi

We have been running Networker for several years and have always had a bit odd override in one of our schedules. The reason for this is that we need to have to run a full backup every two weeks on a Friday or a Saturday and skip the following day.

I Networker 8 and before we had the possiblity to spesify this in the schedule override section and it worked as it should. We we upgraded to Networker 9, actually Networker 9.2.1, we lost that possiblity. We thought it would work as it is possible to spesify this in the Action part. So we whent ahead and spesified it but after a while we saw that is did not follow the override, it seems like you have to spesify it with selection and not by just writing the words "full every 2 weeks on Friday".

So anyone using this or have expericed this in Networker 9?

And by the way, why did they change from a central place to change schedules to add it to every action and introduce the hazzle when needed to do some changes.

Our environment

Networker Server running Red Hat Linux 7 with Networker version 9.2.1

This seems to be an odd issue as "full every 2 weeks on Friday" is - to the best of my knowledge - something that NW would be able unterstand. It more looks like the name for a resource.

Please have a look at the resource itself.

Hi Karl,

You should still be able to use Schedules which were available in 8.x which you can search under Protection tab. Make sure you select the Schedule at Client level and opt for "Client can Override" when selecting Options for action as below.
