Networker 19.4 Appliance - CLP License Update
Hello,
I have a new Networker 19.4 Appliance installation. I uploaded the generated capacity 1TB license.
In the tab server-> registrations , I have the capacity license 1 TB and clp update license. The CLP update license is timely. Can I delete it or do I have to do something to make it indefinite.

The CLP license is important - do not delete it.
To remove the time limitation, you must register the enabler as usual and enter the auth code here.

@ulk85, I would recommend you to reach out to the licensing team at DELL and get the enabled code converted into licensing file. ou shoud not be using enabler code anymore this is a legacy method of licensing in NetWorker now.

@crazyrov Why are enablers old-fashined? - This method is still supported (it has actually been re-added in a later 9.x version) and for a single NW server installation, why I guess is the standard installation for the majority of the customers, the 'old' method is still sufficient.
Why shall I install a 'License Server' software - an additional component which may fail as well - if there is no need for that?

There are 2 types of license in the new licensing method.
1. Served license - This type of licensing method needs a centralized licensing servers which is used to serve licenses to the multiple NetWorker datazone in a network.
2. Un-served License - This is meant for a single NetWorker datazone and does not need a licensing server. The licensing file is added to the backup server.
I am not sure if DELL still distributes enabler codes for new engagements.

@crazyrov Agreed in general.
AFAIR we did not have a license file when we switched back from the served to the unserved licensing method. But we still had our old enablers. It might be that Dell/EMC does not authorize the old enablers any longer.
Sorry for the confusion.

Problem has been solved.
The support has uploaded the appropriate file with a perpetual license.
