Networker 18.2 - delete old saveset from storage volume

Hi to everyone,

I have Networker infrastructure 18.2 on Windows server 2012r2  and backup on DataDomain DD2500.
On that storage there're 2 volumes.
The warning message on storage web-console is: Space usage has exceeded 90% of the total capacity.
Please, I need asap to delete some oldest saveset, because I see these on networker console, and to save space on storage volume.
At the end, I want to review the policy backup.
Which are the correct steps and command to use?
I seen nsrmm -d -S savesetID , but I think right to delete only to db and not on Datadomain
And I seen nsrstage -C -V , but sincerally I'm little bit confuse
Thanks in advance
Don

@FerDon, if you do have a list of the oldest savesets that you done need any more nsrmm command that you have would be the correct method to remove them. nsrstage is required only when you want to move a saveset from one volume to another.

Once you are done deleting the savesets, you can run "nsrim -X" to make sure that there is no reference to the data on the DD for the savesets that you have deleted and that should show up as cleanable space on the DD. But keep in mind that this space reclaimed will depend on how unique that data that you deleted was.

Hi crazyrov,

I had some saveset ID from mminfo command and I prepared many command similar to:
nsrmm -y -d -S 3254977952
At the end, I will execute : nsrim -X (on networker console)
Is it correct?
Do I need to execute an "File System Settings-> CLEANING" on datadomain web-console?
Thanks!

@FerDon, Yep the procedure you outline is correct. The Cleaning on the DD is required to add the cleanable space to the usable space so you could either let the weekly schedule for cleaning kick in or if your %utilization is more than 90% start the cleaning manually, use the command - filesystem clean start on the DD console.
